walking beside you
to help you help yourself
Counselling in Wimbledon, London SW19
As a qualified Humanistic Counsellor, I aim to walk alongside you and support you in your therapeutic journey. I believe that each human being is of value and has the potential for psychological change, growth and increased personal fulfilment. I work in a holistic way acknowledging that the mind, body and spirit are all interconnected.
My approach is client centred, I am open to whatever you choose to bring and aim to act as a mirror to help you to see yourself and your experience more clearly. I believe that having the space to speak your truth out loud and to become more aware, is the path to change and growth.

I was a career Civil Servant for 27 years. I became increasingly interested in coaching, mentoring and supporting colleagues. This led to me training as a counsellor alongside Policy Work for 4 years. In the Civil Service I was an ACAS trained Fair Treatment Ambassador and supported many colleagues through difficult situations, helping them to thrive in the workplace.

I have worked with many bereaved clients and I have seen the effect of losing someone close. I have witnessed how it can knock you sideways. I have specialist training and knowledge in this area. I currently work for a Bereavement Charity.

I am a mother of teenagers. I have experienced the chaos of dealing with a young family, returning to work, balancing childcare and the female experience. I can support you with difficult decisions, overwhelm, the mental load and life milestones such as childbirth and menopause.

In a previous life I trained as a classical singer and have much performance experience. I understand the way the voice works and the stresses and strains that can affect it.
I understand the difficult and uncertain nature of being a professional musician and have many contacts in that industry.
